Tips To Eating Healthy This Easter

Here comes Easter! Towering displays of chocolate bunnies and marshmallow candies that fill the supermarket shelves will tempt you to plan a massive feast.
It’s just when you thought that all holidays are behind you and there is no threat to your weight loss plan – here comes Easter.
Here are some of the effective tips that could help prevent gaining weight this Easter weekend:
  1. Watch the basket: Focus on the meaning of the holiday instead of the meals. Make one basket so that all guests that visit can have it.
  2. Do not overeat: Never sit down on an empty stomach, as you are more likely to eat more. At the same time, make sure you do not starve yourself. Limit your intake but make sure you enjoy a healthy meal.
  3. Rethink about Easter basket: Try to purchase non-traditional gifts such as books, costume, jewellery, etc. They are more appreciated than usual candies, chocolate bunnies or marshmallows. Consider making healthy stuffs.
  4. Shift your focus: Make yourself realise that holidays are not about a weekend or a whole day. Think about what is on the menu you are planning to make; is there anything special you can tweak. Surprise your family with something new and healthy.
  5. Be active: Go to church or join a street-wide Easter egg parade or hunt. Get outside and you will be amazed with all the local offerings.
  6. Artificial chocolate eggs: Instead of purchasing lots of candies, purchase plastic eggs and fill them with small toys of stickers to celebrate Easter.
  7. Spread wealth: Do not buy those big bags of candies. If at all you buy them, share. It will make you the most popular adult this Easter holiday.
  8. Go natural: Instead of going for artificial sweets, try something natural. You can opt for health food and sweeteners to stay away from those artificial sugar stuffs.
